Kelly McDonagh
Kelly is an Oakville based artist, she studied fine art at the University of Toronto and Interpretive Illustration at Sheridan College.
Kelly made the switch from commercial illustration to fine art painting after co-opening an art Gallery in Oakville called "In2art Gallery".
"I realized I was just a little bit envious of the artists I was representing because they could paint whatever they wanted instead of what they were asked to paint. That freedom was so appealing to me that I began to think more like an artist and less like an illustrator. Thank you to the hundreds of artists who unknowingly inspired me with their beautiful works, I am so happy to be painting again."
Kelly's work can be found in private collections in Canada and the US. Her commercial clients included Maclean's Magazine, Levi Strauss and Co. and Research in Motion.
